Space is limited, so hunters must register by March 30. To register, call KDWPT public lands manager Brent Konen at (620) 767-5900.
Registered participants, along with their parents or mentor, will meet the night before the hunt to pattern in their shotguns and scout hunting areas with their guides. The following morning during predawn hours, the hunters and guides will head out to hunting spots on public and private land where turkeys have been sighted during preseason scouting efforts.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as a turkey hunting presentation and door prizes, with lodgning available nearby in Council Grove at camping available at Council Grove Lake.
