The 2018 State DU Convention will run from Feb. 23-25 at Great Wolf Lodge and Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan.
Those who register before Feb. 12 can receive early bird prices of $150 for a couple’s two-night entry or $80 for a single two-night entry, according to a flier from DU. Greenwing prices are $30 for both nights and a family two-night registration (two adults and two children 17 and under) is $200. A single, one-night-only registration is $50.

There also will be a Ducks Unlimited Northeast Kansas Firearm Frenzy from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 13 at Purple Wave in Manhattan.
A $20 ticket automatically enrolls you in a 50-gun firearm raffle and includes beverages. Food also will be available at the event.
A winner will be drawn every three minutes, with other items also being raffled off, including K2 and YETI coolers and duck and goose decoy packages. Those who purchase five tickets will be entered in a special raffle for a prize valued at $1,000.

Some northeast Kansas Ducks Unlimited chapters are set to host several fundraisers next month in the area.
The Topeka area chapter of DU will host a Hooters Wing Ding from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Topeka Hooters at S.W. 10th and Wanamaker.
Tickets for the event will cost $25 for a single person and $40 for a couple/buddy ticket, and each ticket will include all-you-can-eat wings and two beers. There will be an auction at 7 p.m.

There will be a pair of events taking place in the Manhattan area, with the Kansas State University DU chapter hosting a bar night with a silent auction and raffles from 6 to 10 p.m. Dec. 4 at RC McGraws and the Manhattan DU chapter hosting a flock party from 6 to 10 p.m. at Willie’s Hideout, 208 1st Street, Suite A, in St. George. Tickets for the latter event are limited to 50 and include meal and beverages.
