Todd Morstorf and Ryan Harman bagged 7.86 pounds to secure the season points race and earn Team of the Year honors, finishing 10 points above Niemeyer and German with 760. Branden Seber and Frank Haidusek took third in the tournament with 7.74 pounds.
Dustin Hobbs and Megan Springer, who caught the big fish in the tournament at 1.69 pounds, took third in the season points standings with 710 points.
Mike and Eric Schrock finished fourth in the season points race with 700 points, followed by Brandon Manis and Marc Shepard with 690 points for fifth place, Lynn Beckwith and Danny Lynn with 500 points for sixth place and Dylan Faulconer and Allen Miller with 465 points for seventh.
Niemeyer earned the season-long big fish award with a 2.21-pound slab caught earlier this spring on El Dorado Reservoir.
HIGH SCHOOL EVENT CANCELED
The Kansas BASS Nation high school fishing qualifier tournament scheduled for Oct. 6 at Wilson Reservoir was canceled because of high winds.
The next high school event is scheduled for March 9, 2019, though a location hasn’t been set.
