Nicknamed "Mufasa," the 224-inch beast came in after a cold front passed on a scrapeline. The hunt will be shown on season 10 of CarbonTV's Heartland Bowhunter, according to the show's Facebook page.

BASS PRO, CABELA'S DEAL WILL LEAD TO 'SLIMMING DOWN':According to the Associated Press, Bass Pro Shops' CEO Johhny Morris met with about 250 Cabela's employees recently in Sidney, Neb., and said there will be some "slimming down" because of function duplication. HENRY REPEATING ARMS TO BRING BACK LEVER-ACTION SHOTGUN:Henry Repeating Arms announced in a YouTube video it will begin selling .410 caliber lever-action shotguns in 2017. The gun comes in two different barrel lengths and will be manufactured in Rice Lake, Wis.
