She was reeling the worm past some brush about 2 feet from shore when the bass exploded out of his cover and attacked the hook. She set it and soon had the nice largemouth on shore. Shortly after, Brendan hooked into his own bass in equally shallow water.
It was a particularly humid day with storms approaching, and we could see and hear fish flopping up all over the place near the lily pads. I hooked into the tie-breaker, a dinky little bluegill, about 30 minutes before the heavy thunder storms forced us back into our vehicles for the night.
I look forward to more fishing with these three in the future.
